Brad Catto Obituary, Death –Myrtle Beach resident Brad Catto, who is now 28 years old, claims that he has always had the ambition to work in the fire service.

Catto explained that because he lived so close to a fire station, he often heard the sirens and the whistle. “It was as if I just knew.” He spent his childhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and received his high school diploma from Canon McMillan. Catto began his career as a junior volunteer firefighter, and once he reached the age of 18, he proceeded on the route that led to his current position.

He is the first member of his family to join the fire department. He said that “it is more of a calling than a job,” and I agree with him.  Catto began his career in the medical field by working for an ambulance service in Pittsburgh for a period of two years. During this time, he attended the Community College of Allegheny County to get a degree in paramedicine.

He worked in the Fayette Fire District in Pittsburgh for six years, first as a paramedic for two years and then as a paramedic supervisor for four years. The Fayette Fire District responded to 15,000 calls per year. He departed the army in the rank of lieutenant. He relocated to the Grand Strand and has been working as a firefighter and a paramedic for the Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire District for the past three years.

His extensive training covers both basic and advanced levels of firefighting, as well as specialized EMS and hazardous materials operations, trench rescue, and national registered paramedic certification. In addition to that, he holds certifications as a basic vehicle rescue technician and as a nationally licensed paramedic. He claimed that he has never encountered a situation that was more difficult in his role as a fireman and paramedic.

He stated, “I never reflect on what is the worst call,” and this is something he never does. “All I do is go there and work toward improving the situation,” she said. He stated that realizing his dream of being a firefighter at the beach was the most memorable moment of his life. “I look forward to going to work every day,” he remarked. His ambition in the workforce is to achieve the rank of lieutenant and “continue living the dream.”

Catto has tied the knot. Emily, who is his wife, works in the medical billing and coding field for Carolina OB/GYN in Pawleys Island. They do not have any human children, but they do have a golden retriever named Sydney who is three years old. Catto enjoys going on adventures and watching sports in his spare time.

His favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, which makes sense given his hometown. I am a devoted follower of both ice hockey and American football. According to him, he enjoys listening to any music that is played on the radio and has even tried his hand at polka dancing.

Since he and Emily are in the process of building a house, a significant amount of their time is devoted to ensuring that the construction is proceeding well. They also take pleasure in traveling to Pittsburgh and catching up with their relatives and long-lost friends there. People who live here enjoy going to the beach and going out to eat whenever they get the chance.
