Byron Hayes Obituary, Death- On October 1, 2020, Mr. Larry Byron Hayes, who resided in Sharpsburg, GA, passed away at the age of 72.

His father, the late Gordon Lee Hayes of Atlanta, and his mother, Velma Brown Hayes of Fairburn, as well as the late Robert Newton Hutcheson and Frances Matthews Hutcheson, passed away before he was born. He was named after his father. Sonny Edmondson and Robert “Bob” Hutcheson, who were his brothers-in-law, passed away before him as well. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Hutcheson Hayes.

Mr. Hayes was a wonderful provider for his family. Gloria, who had been his childhood sweetheart, and he had been married for a total of 52 years. The time he spent with his loved ones brought him the most joy in life. The roles of spouse, father, and grandfather brought him the deepest satisfaction. When he was with his wife and children, you could usually catch him cracking a smile and having a good time.

Mr. Hayes belonged to the Kenwood Baptist Church, which is located in Fayetteville, Georgia. He had a deep affection for his church family. For a good number of years, he was actively involved in the Awana program, both on the bus and in the visiting aspect, and he had a strong desire to win youngsters over to the Lord.

After working for Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 25 years, Mr. Hayes decided to take early retirement. Following that, he found employment at Mauldin’s and Direct Insurance Companies. A memorial ceremony will be place at Kenwood Baptist Church on the afternoon of Saturday, October 17, 2020 at one o’clock in the afternoon.

After the service, the burial will take place in the Holly Hills Memorial Park in Fairburn. At the Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City on Friday, October 16, 2020, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the family will be present to greet visitors who come to pay their respects.
