Before she was born, both of her parents, Gustav Raymond Peterson and Lois Peterson (Box), as well as her brother Richard Raymond Peterson, had already passed away. She was an only child in her family. She is survived by her husband, Frank Daniel Starr, of Lufkin; her children, Elizabeth Ann Starr and Justin Daniel Starr, both of Southampton, Massachusetts; Justin Daniel Starr and Jacquiline Senosain, of Bear, Delaware; and her brothers-in-law, Ben Starr, Marvin Starr, Jerry Starr (Jackie), and Jimmy Starr (Carol).

In addition, she is survived by her brothers-in-law. She is survived by her siblings as well as her nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces. In addition, she had great-grandchildren. On the evening of Friday, August 25th, 2023, the Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas (which can be found at 2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, Texas 75904) will be conducting a visitation. The visitation will begin at 5:00 PM and continue until 8:00 PM. On the Saturday the 26th of August, 2023, at 2:00 PM, a funeral service will be held at the First Lutheran Church, which is located at 1001 Atkinson Dr. in Lufkin, Texas 75901.
