Charles Grimes Obituary, Death- On the Monday the 28th of August, 2023, he passed away while he was at his residence, which was also the location of his funeral.

The 11th of August, 1945 finds Charles Grimes being brought into the world in Benton Harbor. Robert and Erba Elida Grimes did not live to see their son born because they both went away before he was born. For the past four decades, Charles has made his home in the Gobles neighborhood. Charles attained a high level of service and distinction while serving his country in the Armed Forces of the United States.

Army. In addition to being a passionate golfer, he also had a deep interest in bringing classic tractors and autos back to their former glory. as methods used in agricultural production. During his time at Gobles, Charles coached multiple sports, including football and baseball, for a number of years.

The sport of baseball in general. Because of the passion he had for the Lord, he served as a preacher at the Gobles United Methodist Church for a good number of years. a significant amount of time, during which I served as both a trustee and the treasurer of the organization.

Karen, his wife of 38 years, and their four children, Charles Jr. (and Wendy), Heather (and Paul), and Charles III, are the only members of his family who have survived him. Erbe, James (Chelsea), and Todd (Kacy); twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren

There is a pair of sisters that go by the names Penny Popp and Judy Holmquist. His mother and father, as well as his brother Robert Grimes Jr., had all left this world before he did. After he had passed away, his wishes were followed, and he was cremated. On Tuesday, the family will spend time with some of their close friends.

on September 5 beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m., which will be held at the Gobles United Church of Christ. The Methodist Church can be found here. Donations in memory of Mr. Gobles should be made to the Gobles Family Foundation, per the family’s wish. D. L. Miller Funeral Home’s Gobles Chapel has been given the responsibility of making the necessary arrangements. The UMC will play host to the funeral services.
