Charles Wayne Daughtry Obituary, Death – Charles Wayne Daughtry, age 77, previously of Childersburg and currently residing in Salem, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diane Dubose Daughtry, sons Brandon Daughtry (Shannon) and Jeremy Daughtry (Natasha); five grandchildren: two granddaughters, Katie Daughtry and Makenna Daughtry, three grandsons, Barrett Daughtry, Kellan Daughtry and Declan Daughtry; two brothers, Vann Daughtry (Judy) and Carey Daughtry (Roxanne);

Brother-in-law Wayne Dubose (Glenda), and a host of nieces and nephews. His parents, Jasper Jewell Daughtry and Lucille Owsley Daughtry, his brother Jasper Daughtry, and his in-laws, Jasper Dubose and Lavonia McConnell Dubose, all passed away before him.

Between the years of 1963 and 1967, Mr. Daughtry was a member of the United States Navy. Both Opelika Technical College and Central Alabama Community College awarded him degrees; the former was in the field of drafting, and the latter was in the field of science. After 26 years of service at the Coosa Pines Paper Mill, he took early retirement in the year 2010.
On Saturday, September 2nd, a private funeral service was held in Mr. Daughtry’s honor before his interment.
