Dave Helming Obituary, Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Chairman has passed away

Dave Helming Obituary, Death – Dave Helming, who served as our Show Chairman, Club Secretary, and Friend, passed away yesterday evening following a brief battle with lung cancer. This news is being shared with a profound sense of regret and a heavy heart by all of us here at the club. His wife, Peggy, his kennel, his friends, the fancy, and the numerous organizations he assisted, including WKC, have all suffered a huge loss as a result of this tragedy.
Dave will be honored on the 148th episode of our show.

The arrangements will be kept confidential. He would be pleased if we could think of him with a happy face. Let’s all do everything we can to ensure that his legacy lives on in the sport that we all hold so dear. Dave was a wonderful person who had an incredible, positive impact on the lives of everyone.

I am so terribly sorry for Peggy Helming and for everyone else who cared about him. A tragedy of unimaginable proportions for the dog show community. Dave was truly one of the nicest persons I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Peggy and everyone else who knew him, please accept my deepest condolences.
