David Oldfield, Friends and Family say Farewell to David Oldfield

David Oldfield Obituary, Death – I am writing to inform you of the passing of my beloved brother, David Oldfield. It is with a heavy heart that I do so. David was known to all of us as a person who was larger than life, louder than life, one of a kind, talented, and had a glint in his eye. When his son Tyrone made the decision to end his own life two years ago, that twinkle was gone.

He exerted a lot of effort to get over this melancholy, but the burden of it, together with the many setbacks he had along the way, proved to be too much for him to bear. On Friday, the 25th of August, this gentle giant took his own life in the Meiringspoort close to De Rust. David was well aware of the amount of affection that he received; we are grateful for all of it.

During this difficult time, our sincere condolences are extended to you and your family; however, there are no adequate words to describe the depth of our regret for your loss. We are very sorry for everything that has happened. You and your family have our deepest condolences at this difficult time.

Our hearts were filled with regret when we learned that the life of such a potential human had been cut short by death when we got the news.
