Doyle Hutton Obituary, Death- Doyle L. “Brownie” “Papa” Hutton Sr., age 77, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 1:04 p.m. at Graham Hospital in Canton, with his loved ones by his side.
He was the son of Gene and Ellen (Oldham) Hutton and was born on April 20, 1945 in the city of Canton. On May 25, 1968, in Canton, he wed the woman who would become the love of his life, Judy Mann. She will live on. Also surviving are his three children: Dale (Tammy Thrall) Hutton of Pekin, Doyle (Pam) Hutton Jr. of Canton, and Janell Hutton of Canton; five grandchildren: Doyle Hutton III, Jovie Hutton, Jaxon Shockency, Kaleigh (Cody) Herbst, and Tanner (Laura) Mooney.
three great grandchildren: Liam Carter, Grayson Mooney, and Olivia Herbst; one brother: Danny George Hutton (Charlene); four Jana (Lloyd) Fales, Rob Miller, Larry Miller, Justice Johnson, Will Fales, Cloey Fromm, Madison Fromm, Cameron Fromm, Kaleb Miller, Davante Berry, and Sabrina Fales; brother-in-law, Jerry (Andrea) Mann of Lewistown; sister-in-law, Janet Mann of Canton; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews also survive. His parents and three of his brothers, Donald Hutton, David Hutton, and Darrell Hutton, all passed away before him.
Doyle resigned from Caterpillar in 2009 after a career spanning four decades at the company, during which time he was an active member of the United Auto Workers union. In addition to that, he was an employee at Russell’s Auto Service and Bob Swise Towing. He was an instructor at Skateland in addition to being a member of the Lewistown Nazarene Church and working at the Spoon River Speedway.
He was a devoted follower of the Green Bay Packers as well as the Chicago Cubs. However, his family was his greatest passion in life. Taking trips and going to see his grandchildren compete in sports were a couple of his favorite things to do in his spare time. In addition to that, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. When he wasn’t working, you could find him cheering on his favorite drivers at the Peoria Speedway Race Track. He was a huge fan of every Canton Little Giant sport.
The Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, Illinois will be hosting a visitation on the evening of Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 4 PM to 7 PM. On Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a funeral service held at the Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory located in Canton, Illinois. A burial will take place at Waterford Cemetery in rural Lewistown, Illinois, immediately after the funeral. The Reverend Monroe Bailey will preside over the ceremony. Canton Junior Football League or Lewistown Softball can accept donations in lieu of flowers.
