Gregory was a resident of that city. She passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving behind a large number of loved ones who will mourn her departure.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Hawk (David Terry), of Lafayette; her sisters, Bobette Holmes of Lafayette, Gloria DeVaul of Oxford, and Chris Snyder of Oxford; her grandchildren, Hannah Hawk, Alan Hallstein (Leigh), Tori Gregory, and Cole Gregory; and her great-grandchildren, Serenity and Nora. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Alan Hallstein (Leigh), and Nora. Her great-grandchildren, Alan Hallstein (Leigh), and Nora are also able to carry on her legacy after her passing.
