Francis Malley Obituary, Death, Funeral And Memorial Service For Francis Malley
Francis Malley Obituary, Death – The family of Francis “Frank” Joseph Malley, who was the loving husband of Edith (Hartling) Malley before her demise, has announced his untimely passing, which took place on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. They are in a state of deep sorrow as they make this announcement.
He was the son of the late John and Lorraine (Robichaud) Malley and was born in Chatham on September 16, 1940.
His parents both passed away. After spending a number of years as a driver with New System Laundry & Cleaners, Frank went on to spend the most of his career at Saint John Transit, beginning in 1980 and continuing until his retirement in 2001. Bowling and card games were two of his favorite pastimes, and he always made sure to sneak in a magic act whenever he could. “Go Habs Go!” was Frank’s favorite cheer for the Montreal Canadiens.
Because he was often cracking jokes and making people laugh at work, his coworkers at Saint John Transit dubbed him “the king of the one-liners.” Frank is survived by his daughter, Shelley Grondine (and her husband Mike), his grandson, Alex Grondine, his son, Kevin Malley (and his wife Angela), his sisters Mary Lousie Robichaud (and her husband Onesiphore) and Mona Malley-Geddes (and their husband Jim), and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his grandson Eric Grondine and his granddaughter Madison Grondine, as well as his brother Raymond Malley and his sisters Leona Malley and Shirley Speight (both of whom were married to David).
According to Frank’s instructions, there will be no visitation or funeral service held in his honor. Brenan’s Funeral Home, located at 111 Paradise Row in Saint John and accessible at 506-634-7424, is in charge of the arrangements and is responsible for their care.
