Frankie Montoya Obituary, Pueblo coroner identifies city’s 20th homicide victim of 2023
Frankie Montoya Obituary, Death – The county coroner has confirmed the identity of the deceased individual who was the victim of Pueblo’s 20th homicide in 2023. Frankie Montoya, 34, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on Saturday as a result of multiple gunshot wounds he sustained on Wednesday, August 30, following a shooting at a property located in the 1800 block of East 17th Street.
After arriving at a local hospital in a private vehicle shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Montoya was then moved to another hospital in Colorado Springs with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening, as reported by the police. On Saturday, he passed away at the hospital. As of Wednesday afternoon, there have been no arrests made, and the investigation being conducted by the agency is still underway.

The murder of Montoya was the 20th homicide that was recorded in the city of Pueblo in 2023, and the 22nd homicide that was recorded county-wide.
