Gary Lopresti Obituary, Death- The statement was made with a great deal of regret and sadness on the passing of Firefighter Gary J. Lopresti, Jr. of Engine Company 1 by Emery L. Haskell, the Fire Commissioner, and Stephen J. Froio, the Chief of Department.
When Gary was ambushed and killed while serving his country, he was doing so in the line of duty. On the 27th of August, 2023, Firefighter Gary J. Lopresti, Jr. unexpectedly lost his battle against death in a way that no one could have predicted. On that day, it was stated that Firefighter Gary J. Lopresti, Jr. will start his job with the Malden Fire Department the day after his official start date, which is the day after the next day after his start date.
