Gavrie Whitlock Obituary, Death- In respectful remembrance of the man from Snellville who passed away after drowning in Lake Lanier.
The cherished son of the Whitlock family, Gavrie, who passed away in a tragic accident during the holiday weekend, is still being mourned by the family and friends of the Whitlocks.On Saturday, game wardens at Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier reportedly received reports of a person drowning in the area. This is according to officials with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
Reports indicate that Whitlock was jogging down a dock when he lost his footing and fell into the sea. He did not emerge after his fall. On the other hand, when the clock reached 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night, Whitlock did not reappear, leaving those who were watching in a state of disbelief and concern. The sad news is that Whitlock was found to have passed away.
According to the report, crews from Hall County Fire Rescue found the body of the victim from water that was 17 feet deep. The investigation into his death is still in progress at this time. The Whitlock family has informed everyone that a memorial service for Gavrie Whitlock will be conducted at Grace New Hope church on Friday, September 8th at 1pm.
