Hersha Parady Death – Hersha Parady, who played Laura in Little House on the Prairie, lost her battle with a brain tumor and passed away today. The 78-year-old actress was best known for her role as Walnut Grove schoolteacher Alice Garvey on television. She passed away on Wednesday at the residence that she shared with her son Jonathan Peverall in Norfolk, Virginia. The tragic information was confirmed by Peverall to The Hollywood Reporter.
The former athlete had been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor for some years, and a GoFundMe page had been established to assist with the financial burden of the ongoing treatment. In an earlier message that was published on the account this year, Peverall disclosed the fact that his mother had been battling meningioma for some time.
However, the performer acquired pneumonia while she was in the process of recovering, and she was consequently required to go back to the hospital, where she was admitted to the intensive care unit and stayed on a ventilator even after she lost consciousness. Betty Sandhoff gave birth to Parady on May 25, 1945 in the city of Berea, which is located in the state of Ohio. Before making the move to Los Angeles in the early 1970s to pursue her professional goals, the actress got her start in the industry by performing in plays that were staged in her hometown.
