Hunter Baum Death, Summerville SC, In Memory Of A Life Well Lived
Hunter Baum Death – On August 6, 2016, in Ferron, Utah, Jeraldine Hunter Baum Rubens passed away at the age of 76. On November 30, 1939, Jerry Hunter was born to Joseph S. Hunter and Fay Beck Hunter in San Francisco, California. Jerry spent most of her academic career at Orem High School and Brigham Young University in Cedar City, Utah. Jerry retired after 12 years with University Home Care and 9 years with Highland Ridge Hospital. Gary E. Baum, whom I wed in the SLC Temple on November 18, 1960, and from whom I am now divorced.
Debra’s and Robert’s, and Adam and Cindy’s, children are Bryan S. Baum (Debra) and Cindy Hermansen (Robert), and Lynnette Cooper (Adam). John R. Rubens and I were married in the Jordan River Temple on July 17, 1993. There are numerous grandkids, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-great-grandchildren among their combined family of 10. John and Jerry worked in Salt Lake City as coordinators for the LDS Family Service Substance Abuse Mission. Those she helped were like family to her. Jerry’s parents, Joseph and Fay Beck Hunter, sister, Lois M. Turnbaugh, and husband, John R. Rubens, all passed away before she did.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, and continuing from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on the day of the funeral. Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East, is the location of the burial. We appreciate the compassionate care she received from everyone at Emery Care and Rehabilitation Center.
