Ivo Bisignano Obituary, Death – Our dear friend, Ivo Bisignano (@ivo_bisignano), passed away last week and was laid to rest on Wednesday in his hometown of Regalbuto, Sicily. Ivo was an integral part of the Ottolenghi family, and his creative influence permeates every aspect of our lives – from the artwork gracing our walls, the exquisite table linens, our unique plate and vase collection in collaboration with @serax_official, to the charming totes and wine labels, and even the captivating video art at NOPI.

Ivo was an extraordinary artist, displaying his talents across various mediums. He was a constant innovator, endlessly experimenting with materials and forms. His insights into the human experience were profoundly authentic. Beyond his artistic brilliance, Ivo held a special place as our closest friend and collaborator. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His creative genius was beautifully complemented by the warmth of his heart.

Ivo was united in marriage to Alex Meitlis, one of our dearest friends, a valued partner in our ventures, and the visionary behind the design of all our shops and restaurants. Together, they shared a love that fueled their creativity. In his final artistic endeavors, Ivo crafted a series of evocative works featuring sensuous forms in shades of blue, black, and yellow. Remarkably, he created these pieces even as he faced challenges with his dexterity. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow as we extend our deepest condolences to Alex and Ivo’s family during this difficult time.
