James Buecksler Obituary, Death – James “Jim” Lester Buecksler, aged 72, peacefully departed from this world on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Born on November 3, 1950, in Owatonna, he was the son of Lester and Jean (Ferguson) Buecksler. Jim received his education in Owatonna and spent several years working as a truck driver.

Beyond his work, Jim was known for his playful sense of humor, often indulging in practical jokes with his family. His love for the outdoors drew him to the lake for fishing and hunting, where he made countless cherished memories, especially with his beloved grandchildren.

Jim leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories cherished by his family. He is survived by his father, Lester Buecksler. He is also survived by his daughter, Tracee Underwood, and her children Brody and Paiton, residing in Pueblo, Colorado. His son, Kris (Renee) Buecksler, and Jace Buecksler, along with Travis (Jessica) Olson and Heidi (Issac) Schuller, all of Owatonna, also mourn his loss.

In addition to his own children, Jim embraced his role as a stepfather to Sara (Eric) Sletten and their children, Easton, Savana, and Brennan, all of Owatonna. He also took on the loving responsibility of stepfather to Todd (Heidi) Kraft and their children, Kaiyanna, Dominick, Chase, and Aaliyah, also residing in Owatonna. Jim’s great-grandchildren, including Brooklyn, Georgia, Gracie, Evan, Ethan, and Kyrie, will carry the warmth of his memory with them as they grow. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald “Jerry” Buecksler.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Ruth, and his mother, Jean Buecksler. A memorial visitation in honor of Jim’s life will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Victory Church, located at 1380 Rice Lake Road, Owatonna.
