Jason Lingo Obituary, Death –Jason L. Lingo, aged 45, a resident of Hamilton, Indiana, tragically passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, in Hillsdale County, Michigan, due to injuries sustained in a devastating automobile accident. He was born on February 25, 1978, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to his loving parents, Ralph H. and Karen A. (Blomgren) Lingo. Jason’s life was filled with a profound love for the simple joys that brought him happiness.

His passion for boating, the companionship of his beloved dogs, and his unwavering commitment to serving his community through volunteering for the Fire Department were defining aspects of his life. Above all, Jason cherished the moments spent with his family, particularly his two children and his precious granddaughter. As a son, father, and grandfather, Jason’s love and devotion knew no bounds.

His family held a special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment he shared with them. The bond he shared with his parents, Ralph and Karen, was unbreakable, and their support was a constant source of strength for Jason. Jason’s commitment to his community extended to his role as a dedicated firefighter with the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department. His service exemplified his selflessness and his willingness to go above and beyond to protect and serve those in need.

In addition to his firefighting duties, Jason also contributed to the workforce as he worked for Indiana Steel Erectors and Superior Canopy. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Karen Lingo of Hamilton; his two children, Destiny Lingo and Dustin Lingo, both residing in Hamilton; and his cherished granddaughter, Eleanor “Ellie” Lingo. He is also survived by his sister, Tina Walters of Hicksville, Ohio, and his paternal grandmother, Helga Lingo, of Hamilton.

Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members held a special place in Jason’s heart, and he deeply cared for each of them. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, located at 700 W. Maumee St., Angola. Father Antonio Gutierrez FM will officiate the ceremony. Jason will find his final resting place at Eddy Cemetery in rural Hamilton.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St, Waterloo. In memory of Jason L. Lingo, memorials may be directed to a college education fund established for his children and granddaughter, c/o Karen Lingo. Jason’s unexpected departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to family and community will forever be cherished, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to share in his life.
