On November 9, 1943, in Wayne, Michigan, Joseph L. and Ruth (Shonk) Hart became parents for the first time. They welcomed their son into the world on that day. Joe was a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and he served in that capacity for a total of two tours of duty.
