John Clark Obituary, Death – The demise of John Clark on the 30th of August, 2023 is something that the Civil Contractors Federation of Queensland Limited (CCF QLD) wishes to announce with utmost regret. Between the years 1991 and 2015, John served as Managing Director of CB Constructions and as a Board Member of the CCF of Queensland for a total of 25 years. Between the years 1996 and 1998, he served as President of the CCF Queensland Branch, and he was also a member of the CCF National Board at this time.
During this difficult time, CCF QLD and the larger civil construction sector would like to express their thoughts and deepest condolences to John’s wife Colleen, as well as their children Tim, Jonathon, Paul, Chris, and Penny, as well as the extended Clark family. The specifics of the memorial service have not been revealed as of yet.
John was a staunch supporter of the civil construction business in the state of Queensland. He committed a significant amount of his personal time to working toward the development of the sector. He was a fervent supporter of locally owned enterprises and the education of staff members.
Since its founding in 1946, CB Constructions has been passed down through three generations of the same family.
CB Constructions was run by John, along with his brothers Michael, Paul, and Jamie. The company’s headquarters were eventually relocated to the Gold Coast, having been founded in Dalby in the first place.
In the year 2020, CB Constructions ceased taking on any new projects and finished its very last civil construction endeavor. At that time, John and his brothers Michael, Paul, and Jamie began their well-deserved retirement. John, who had previously worked for CCF QLD, likewise took early retirement and relocated from the Gold Coast to Toowoomba, where he and his wife Colleen were able to appreciate the new environment.
