Judy Kietzer Obituary, Judy Kietzer Funeral And Obituary Information

Judy Kietzer Obituary, Death – Judy Kae Kietzer, aged 60, peacefully passed away at her residence on August 24, 2023, following a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. Her birthdate was March 29, 1963, and she was born to Ellard and Phyllis Borth in Ellendale, North Dakota. As the youngest of five siblings, Judy displayed her knack for keeping everyone on their toes from an early age.

Her educational journey led her to graduate from Menomonie High School in 1981, and later, in 1995, she earned her nursing degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College. On September 11, 1981, she entered into wedded bliss with her soulmate, Mike Kietzer, in a ceremony at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hatchville, Wisconsin. Over their remarkable 42-year marriage, they were blessed with two children and seven precious grandchildren.

Judy’s heart was wholly dedicated to her family and friends, treasuring the time spent with them above all else. When not enthusiastically cheering on her grandchildren at their various sporting events, Judy found solace outdoors. She relished gardening, golfing, camping, exploring on UTVs, sitting around a campfire, and witnessing the majesty of a thunderstorm. Known for her boundless kindness and unwavering generosity, Judy offered her listening ear and sage advice to all who sought it. Her nurturing spirit was evident in her fulfilling 30+ year career in nursing.

Judy will be eternally missed as the bedrock of our lives—our mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She leaves behind her husband, Mike; children, Heather (Travis) Duncan and Dan (Janessa) Kietzer; adored grandchildren, Treadan, Talen, Owen, Elliana, Taten, Cora, and Embree; siblings, Allen (Nancy) Borth, Peggy (Steve) Lynum, Susan Borth, and Lyall (Cindy) Borth; in-laws, Marsha (Harland) Boesh, Karen Speidel, Carmen Kietzer, and mother-in-law Betty Kietzer; as well as uncle Jerry (Marge) Buerkle and numerous other cherished relatives and friends.

In heaven, Judy rejoins her parents, Ellard and Phyllis; step-fathers, Merlin Wilbur and Lyle Kruschke; father-in-law John Kietzer; brother-in-law Tim Speidel; uncle Curt Buerkle; nephew Josh Lynum; and her grandparents.

We invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life on Thursday, August 31, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, Wisconsin, from 4:30-7:00 pm. Please come and share your cherished memories and heartwarming stories. A private service with immediate family will be held separately. In lieu of floral tributes, the family kindly suggests planting a tree or flower in memory of Judy, symbolizing her profound love for the great outdoors.
