Leroy Smith Obituary, Death – Leroy Smith, 79, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 9th, at T J Samson Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky, surrounded by loved ones. On February 20, 1944, Leroy Smith was born to Evelyn (Syra) and Howard Smith in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. Leroy was a truck driver in Louisville in his younger years, a farmer, a member of the Monroe County Fisical Court for three terms, an employee of the Monroe County Road Department, and a member of the Cyclone Church of Christ.

Granddaughter Erica, wife Terry Eldridge, grandson Caleb, husband Chelsea Smith, and granddaughter-in-law Wendy Smith all reside in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and are Leroy’s only living relatives. Wesley Bray, Danielle’s husband; Braxton and Nolan Eldridge, Liam and Kyle Smith, and Madeline Bray, five great-grandchildren. Lola Curry, Leroy’s sister from Edmonton, Kentucky, survives him as well. Betty Smith’s brother, Louis Underwood, of Edmonton, Kentucky, who is married to Smith. a large group of cousins and pals.

Howard and Evelyn Smith, their son Jeff, brothers Jim and Charlie Smith, and nephews David Harris and Michael Smith all predeceased him. Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky is where the funeral service will take place at noon on Wednesday, September 13. This event’s referee is Bryan Humphrey. On Monday, September 11th, from 5 PM to 8 PM, and again from 8 AM to 8 PM on Tuesday, September 12th, and again from 8 AM to 12 PM on Wednesday, September 13th, visitors can pay their respects at the Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, for interment.
