Marcell Register Obituary, Death –Marcell Register, aged 82, peacefully entered Heaven on August 27, 2023. She was born on August 10, 1941, to the late Julien Stewart and Johnnie (Williams) Stewart and attended Logansport High School in Logansport, Louisiana. Throughout her life, Marcell dedicated many years to serving as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Her primary focus was geriatric home health care, where she displayed great compassion and care towards her patients.

She had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed bringing smiles and laughter to the faces of those around her. Marcell was also an avid reader, finding solace and enjoyment in books. Marcell is survived by her loving children: Cary Register (Lindy), Brian Cooper Register, Tana Register, Richard “Puddy” Register (Idele), and Delane “Bib” Register. Alongside her children, Marcell is also survived by her twin sister, Merle Butler, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Charlsie Odom and Joe Ann Creech, and her brother, James Rann “Bud” Stewart.

A memorial service to celebrate Marcell’s life will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA, with the date and time of the service to be announced at a later date. The family is not requesting donations at this time, but instead welcomes your thoughts and prayers as they remember and honor Marcell’s life.
