Mary McDonnell Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Patricia McDonnell, who, at the remarkable age of 102, bid farewell to this world on September 1, 2023, in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Born to Bernard and Catherine Lynch (Ahern), Mary Patricia’s journey was woven with love, family, and enduring relationships. She was predeceased by her beloved son Joseph and her brothers Joseph, Melvin, Reggie, and Leo, leaving behind cherished memories and legacies.

Mary Patricia is survived by her sons Gerard (Joyce), Bernard (Kim), and Reggie (Janet), as well as her sister Anita Smith (Al). Her legacy extends to her adoring grandchildren Angela (Barrett Jenkins), Jennifer McEachern (Mark), Marsha (James), Brian (Kaylin), and Kaitlin (Logan), and the great-nephew Bradley Lynch. Mary Patricia’s love continues to shine through her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Makyla, Vivian, Cade, and Kylie. Her influence also spreads through several nieces and nephews who hold her memory dear.

Visitation to pay respects and share condolences will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, at the Northumberland Funeral Home in Miramichi, allowing friends and family to gather and remember the beautiful life she led. A funeral service, commemorating her life and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her, will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church.
