Michael Patterson Obituary, Galesburg man identified as victim of crash

Michael Patterson Obituary, Death – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the person who was killed when a vehicle crashed and caught fire on Wednesday morning in Knox County. The incident occurred when the vehicle was involved in a collision. Sgt. Brad Davis, who indicated that the victim was from Galesburg, identified Michael Patterson as the person who had been murdered. Patterson was 64 years old at the time of the incident.

In an email that Davis sent out on Thursday, Davis indicated that Patterson had passed away as a result of the fire, which was unrelated to the incident that had occurred. The authorities have stated that it occurred in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday close to the 1300 block of Knox Highway 25, but there are still very few information that have been made available to the public.

The sheriff’s office issued a statement on Wednesday stating that they had no cause to suspect that the event or the fire were the result of any kind of foul play. At this point in time, the investigation is still being carried out.
