Michael Ribolla Obituary, Death –On September 3, 2023, surrounded by the loving embrace of his family, R. Michael “Mike” Ribolla, aged 79, peacefully departed from this world. He was born on July 3, 1944, in Huntington, New York, to Danilo Ribolla and Gloria (Fogg) Ribolla. In 1972, he exchanged vows with Jan (Finfrock) Ribolla, and together they recently celebrated a remarkable 51 years of marriage.
Mike’s journey in life was marked by significant achievements and a deep commitment to helping others. In 1973, he proudly graduated from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, setting the stage for a successful career ahead. His professional path led him to serve as a medical group administrator at various practices in Terre Haute, Indianapolis, and the South Bend area. His dedication and expertise earned him the esteemed title of a fellow of the American College of Medical Group Administrators.
In the later stages of his life, Mike discovered the profound joy of giving back to his community. He became a devoted volunteer at Goodwill and the South Bend Center for the Homeless, where he served as a career coach. Mike considered each job offer he secured for his students as a personal victory, a testament to his compassionate and giving nature.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mike found solace and happiness in classic cars, traversing the globe through his love for travel, and creating cherished memories with his beloved grandchildren. His legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends, who will fondly remember his boundless generosity, quick wit, and infectious laughter.
Mike is survived by his devoted wife, Jan, and their loving sons, Joshua Ribolla (Christine) and James Ribolla (Mandy). He is also survived by his dear sisters, Timi Lewis and Didi Harmon, as well as his adored grandchildren, James, Dominic, Ada, and Maggie. Numerous nieces and nephews also share in the warmth of his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Danilo and Gloria, and his brothers, Pete, Bob, and Tom.
To honor Mike’s life and legacy, a graveside service will be held on September 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the serene Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
