Norman Ruel Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we come together to remember the life of Norman A. Ruel, who left us unexpectedly on September 7th, 2023. Norman, aged 47, was born on September 13, 1975, in Lebanon, NH, and spent his life contributing to his community and cherishing his loved ones.
Norman’s legacy is etched in his deep love for his family. He is survived by his four children, Josh, Makayla, Sarah, and Braedyn; two stepchildren, Torey and Cameron; and five beloved grandchildren, Weston, Leighton, Diego, Adrian, and Barrett. His family was his greatest joy, and his role as “papa” held a special place in his heart.
Norman’s dedication extended to his community, where he proudly served for 30 years as a member of the Enfield Fire Department. For the past four years, he served as a supervisor for the water and wastewater division in the Town of Enfield, exemplifying his commitment to public service.
His passion for sports and the outdoors was evident in his volunteer work as an assistant coach for the Mascoma football program. Norman also had a deep love for racing, spanning three generations, and enjoyed the freedom of long motorcycle rides.
Calling hours will be held at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, NH, on Monday, September 11th, 2023, from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will take place at the Community Lutheran Church in Enfield, NH, on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Lakeview Cemetery. A memorial gathering at the Enfield Community Building will follow the burial.
