Peter Dyck, traffic controller who died on the side of the Eastern Freeway, Melbourne identified
Peter Dyck Obituary, Death – On Wednesday, a traffic controller was working when he was struck and killed by a car. He is being remembered as a “kind man with a big heart” by those who knew him. To check on a pole, Peter Dyck had stopped his ute in the westbound lanes of the Eastern Freeway, close to Hoddle Street. It is thought that a red sports vehicle that was entering the freeway from Alexandra Pde lost control as it was entering the freeway, causing it to cross five lanes and hit the 58-year-old father.
He was rushed to the hospital, but he ended up passing away there. Many kind words have been said about Dyck, who worked for the company Makesafe Traffic Management and was killed in a traffic accident. On social media, Diane Portelli commented, “Peter Dyck you were one of the most generous people I knew. You were lovely. You were helpful. You were happy. You were beautiful.” “Every time I saw you, you always had a smile on your face and you gave the biggest hugs. I’m so glad that I got to see you and give you a hug as well as play billiards with you last Saturday.” We have camped together, shared jokes with each other, and laughed (together) at each other. It’s hard for me to accept that you’re no longer here.”
Another acquaintance of Dyck’s uploaded on social media a lengthy post, in which she disclosed that Dyck had just assisted her in moving house. In the beginning of this year, I was a part of a social group for singles where I met Peter. Katrina Wyrzykowski writes, “I found out he lived not too far from me, and I didn’t want to drive to events alone at night, so I called him up and asked if he’d take me.” “I’d never met him before, but my intuition told me that he was the kind of individuals who do the right thing. My instincts were spot on. He was a decent human being. After learning that I was in need of a new residence, he immediately made a moving assistance offer to me. I will be eternally thankful to him for spending the entire day last Saturday assisting my children and me with the relocation of our home.
