Richard Minton Obituary, Death – Richard Wayne Minton, who was 69 years old at the time of his death on September 7, 2023, passed away at his home. He was the son of Everette Hasque and Mary June Marcum Minton, both of whom have since passed away. He was born in Castlewood, Virginia. His wife, Alva Colleen Austin Minton, one sister, Jackie Branham, and one brother, Johnny Minton, all passed away before him. He was the only survivor of the three.

For the past quarter of a century, Richard has served as the pastor of the Bible Baptist Church in St. Paul, Virginia. He particularly enjoyed going fishing and hunting, in addition to spending time with his family. He was the best possible father and friend to those that mattered to him. He is survived by his three sons, Everette Minton and wife Terra of Castlewood, Virginia, Josh Minton and wife Kayla of Castlewood, Virginia, and Chad Minton and fiancée Sherry Robinson of Castlewood, Virginia; his five grandchildren, Daniel Minton and wife Chandra, David Minton, Kyndal Minton, Austin Minton, and Jonathan Minton; his sister Ann Sutherland and husband Harvey of Castlewood, Virginia; his brother Alex “Iggy” Greer and wife Kris

Everette Minton, Richard Wayne Minton’s son, will preside over the graveside services and interment that will take place on Friday, September 8, 2023, at three o’clock in the afternoon in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia. Richard Wayne Minton will be laid to rest there. On Friday, at 2:30 p.m., members of the family and other friends will gather at the funeral home to form a procession that will travel to the cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Roger David and Sammy Hawkins will serve as honorary bearers of the casket.
