She was a loving wife to Vernon Larry Ewing and a dedicated mother to her children: Frances, James, Paula, and Vernon Jr. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, embracing her close friend Nancy Rucker.

Roberta was a beacon of love and support for her 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her family was her joy, and her legacy lives on through each generation she touched.

In her life, Roberta exemplified the values of compassion, kindness, and resilience. She faced life’s challenges with unwavering strength, and her warm smile could light up any room. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

To honor Roberta M. Ewing’s memory, a visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holsey Chapel, located at 1001 S 14th St, St. Joseph, MO 64503. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM at the same location.
