Steven McLean Obituary, Death – At the age of 59, Steven McLean passed away at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital. His parents, Mr. Harold McLean, and Mrs. Shirley Fleming McLean, welcomed him into the world on December 13, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Whitmer High School and graduated in the year 1982. Steven was a standout athlete who coached and played for a variety of clubs and leagues in the sports of softball, baseball, flag football, and bowling.

After completing his time as a Boy Scout, he went on to become an assistant scout leader. He spent the better part of three decades honing his skills as an electrician and eventually became a Journeyman Inside Wireman with the IBEW Local 8 Union. He was a die-hard admirer of Ohio State University and enjoyed fishing in a variety of locations throughout the area and in Michigan. Along with his family, the many friends he had were an extremely essential part of his life.

Survived by his brother, Terry McLean, his wife, Lori, and his brother, Mark McLean; his sister, Vicki (McLean) Voyantzis, and her husband, Steve; his nephews, Benjamin, Reece, and Mitchell Voyantzis; and his cherished dogs, Saber and Brutus. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry McLean.

At the Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (3219 Tremainsville @ Alexis, 419-269-1111), the family will greet visitors on Thursday from 4 to 8 o’clock in the evening, and the visitation will conclude with a Sharing of Memories.
